Differential tractography

Differential Tractography

Differential tractography can be summarized by "tracking on differences", instead of the conventional "tracking on existence" paradigm. Differential Tractography maps only the axonal pathways with a substantial neuropathological change in individual patients as reflected by differences in the diffusion properties. Combined with a sham setting, differential tractography allows for statistically quantifying false discovery rate to access the reliability of the finding.

It requires at least two diffusion MRI scans of the same subject and a sham setting.

Differences level: surgical intervention (>50% differences), neurological disorder (20~50% differences), psychological or psychiatric disorders (5%~20% differences)
